Misty, getting used to the Hovel. One day, (October 2012) Misty appeared on the middle floor of the Hovel. How did she find it by herself at about 6 weeks old? The hovel had an 'open door' policy at that time - that is, only one door had a lock!
She was young enough to just fall over when bashed by another cat, but now, after 10 months has been accepted. A shy but sweet blue tabby.
Misty practicing her kung fu.
Duffy in the Daisies. This affectionate tabby, with three tiny siblings (Pinky,Perky, and Sooty) was rescued by Aimel from certain penury one year ago.
Please let them adopt you - and follow their life here; Together you will be giving new lives to kittens in need.
Smokey and Charlie holding hands. Smokey is my oldest and most beautiful cat. A loyal friend to several including Charlie, a male abandoned last year. Smokey was neutered 5 years ago, doesn't care about gender, not at all...
Every beautiful and charming animal pictured in the gallery opposite want you to share life on sunny Corfu - from the comfort of your own kitchen, lounge, whatever. And you don't even have to come here (unless you want to visit)
You can apply to as many moggies as you like; the cost is only 5 euros each, you will get a signed picture, and can visit the blog for updates.
Seriously, your kittie needs you, and every Autumn now kittens are dumped at the Hovel because after 7 years everyone knows about the crazy 'Inglezos' who looks after any fluffy orphan who turns up. They now number 14, and an English pension does not go as far as it used to. Most of the donations will go towards the 60 euros it costs to neuter a female, (a little less for a male), and also essential medical treatments for fleas, ear mites, and worms.
Accounts will be kept, legal status sought, but this IS Greece! The blog will serve as a forum in which my status as a human may be judged!
So please find at least one little darling, and visit the site shop to buy something or make a contribution.
They're kicking again! Perky says.
Porgy and Bess - they were sisters. Bessie died 2 years ago. They really were close; how did Porgy respond? She became more affectionate to a few old friends, and her daughter Socrates, but fell out big time with others for no apparent reason.
I am very lucky to have pictures.

Judy is not wondering where her next meal is coming from! Abandoned in October 2011, she is another beautiful proof that TLC works. Piggy took an instant dislike to dear Judy, and last year Judy decided to sleep next door, but she knows when it's meal time...
